PROJECT
On average, it takes between 4 and 5 years from the discovery of the land to the launch of the power plant.
This is dʼInicioʼs primary aim, to identify land with the fewest constraints so that this timeframe is as short as possible.
CAP subsidies are compatible with agrivoltaic projects.
Either the plant is dismantled and the land restored, or the plant is renewed. In all cases this is at the developer’s expense and in agreement with the owner and lʼexploitant.
- Land use: Photovoltaic panels are installed on sloping and/or raised structures, occupying part of the land. In the majority of cases, the structures are fixed using piles driven into the ground, without the use of concrete. As a result, there is very little direct impact on the land.
- Modification of the ecosystem: The installation of the panels results in the modification of natural habitats for local flora and fauna. This may be favourable to certain species, and unfavourable to others.
- Umbrella’ effect: Photovoltaic panels reduce the amount of light and rain directly available to the ground beneath the panels, modifying local microclimates. In particular, moisture is retained better under the panels in dry periods.
- Water run-off: Photovoltaic panels can alter rainwater run-off, potentially increasing the risk of erosion or run-off if water management is not optimised. In most cases, solar power plants are installed on flat land, thereby limiting this problem.
- Agricultural land: If the land is fertile, the installation of panels may limit its agricultural use. However, the concept of agrivoltaics (combining agriculture and photovoltaics) tends to minimise this impact by optimising the mixed use of the land. Photovoltaic projects are now authorised on farmland only if they provide at least one of the following 4 services: improved agronomic potential, adaptation to climate change, protection against climatic hazards, improved animal welfare, etc.
In the event that the project does not go ahead, our intention is to set up a farmer on the farmland, or to create biodiversity reservoirs in areas where this is possible.
AGRICULTURAL
According to studies carried out by INRAE, the grass under photovoltaic panels continues to grow, even better than under normal conditions. This is because the protection offered by the panels reduces the negative effects of drought and frost. Humidity under the panels is higher, and the temperature is lower, so the grass keeps better.
ENVIRONMENTAL
To carry out this type of project, the environmental impact must be controlled. This is why studies are carried out prior to the project. For example, studies are carried out over 4 seasons to measure the potential impact on local flora and fauna. If the impact is too great, the application will not be accepted by the government.
The visual impact is one of our main concerns. This is taken into account by our teams both upstream and downstream of the project study.
TECHNICAL
The panels transform the elements transported by sunlight into electrical energy. This electricity is then fed back into the public grid for redistribution.
Between 1.20m and 2.5m at the lowest point of the panel, depending on the panelʼs use.
Enough for farm machinery. These are precisely the characteristics that will need to be fine-tuned with the manufacturer to suit your needs.
The cables are buried between 80cm and 110cm.
Zero risk doesnʼt exist. But this one is particularly low.
The panels are guaranteed for a minimum of 25 years by the manufacturer. However, technological advances in this area are constantly progressing. That’s why we offer 30- to 40-year leases.
They are installed on steel piles driven into the ground. There’s no need to pour concrete, so there’s no impact on agricultural soils. When the plant comes to an end, dismantling is made easier and pollution is minimized.
It sʼagit the physical quantity indicating the maximum electrical power that can be produced by the solar panel cells.
A photovoltaic power plant consists of photovoltaic panels, equipment rooms with inverters (which convert direct current electricity into alternating current), transformers (which raise the voltage to HTA), mounting brackets, cabling, fencing and surveillance systems to secure the whole system.
FINANCIAL
If you rent, you will be liable for income tax (which you already pay every year or by monthly direct debit). In the case of an acquisition, you will be subject to capital gains tax (tax on the gain in value between purchase and sale if the purchase is less than 30 years old).
From the moment the plant starts operating, the developer will be responsible for paying lʼtax foncier.
First of all, you can sell it during the rental period. You will simply need to inform Inicio in advance so that we can eventually substitute for your buyer at the same price and conditions as would have been negotiated with the latter. If Inicio does not step in, the commitments made by the first owner as part of the project will have to be continued by the new owner.
